Skyway Monte Bianco

Massif show on the roof of Europe beetwen clouds and glaciers

Here we are in Courmayeur to discover the eighth wonder of the World ;so was called the new panoramic Mont-Blanc cable car Sky Way Monte-Bianco were up to Punta Helbronner at 3.462 mt in only 19 minutes, from where enjoy splendid panoramic views of the ice.

The new structure open back in June 2015, distant only ten minutes from Residence Le Petit Coeur, offers everyone the opportunity “climb” on the summit of Mont-Blanc.

It has been realized on the funicular system “Doppelmayr Italia” and the cable cars join Punta Helbronner on a new way, replacing the three old ones. Glass and steel are the predominant materials in the structure, with huge panoramic areas in the stations as well as in the rotating cable cars characterized by big glass walls and a round shape.

The project is based on the willingness of stupefying the customers using both technology and the natural Mont-Blanc landscape with cabins equipped with a rotating system which allows the passengers to enjoy the 360°C panoramic view on all the underlying zones. At 3.462 mt, on Punta Helbronner, a circular 14 m diameter platform has been built in order to delight the customers with the breath-taking view on the Mont-Blanc (4.810 mt), the Dent du Géant and the amazing Vallée Blanche. The structure host a show room, restaurants, shops, bar and a museum.

To enjoy the spectacle of the highest peaks in Europe, we suggest you not to miss an excursion to the new Mont-Blanc cable car for a fascinating journey suspended in the blue sky with the SkyWay Panoramic Mont Blanc, the cable car suspended between Italy and France.

In the summer months from late June to late September, the SkyWay Panoramic Mont Blanc reopens allowing travelers to fly over the two countries in contact with the sky and glaciers.

The 15 km suspended route crosses the highest mountains in Europe and during the same day it will be possible to admire Mont-Blanc from different points of view, from Punta Helbronner at 3.462 mt to Aiguille du Midi at 3.842 mt, and finally descending to Chamonix with return to the valley by bus through the Mont-Blanc tunnel.
